I cancelled my booking after adding a voucher — can I still use it?

You can apply a voucher or promotional code to a SIXT ride booking on the website or in the SIXT App — the discount is applied to your fare automatically.

On the website

1. Start your booking and proceed to the Payment Details step.
2. Click "Add Extras" at the bottom of the checkout page.
3. Enter your voucher code in the field provided and click "Apply."
4. The discount is applied to your total fare immediately.

In the SIXT App

1. Enter your route and ride details.
2. Before selecting a vehicle class, tap "Add Voucher."
3. Choose a code from your wallet or enter a new one.
4. The final price updates automatically once the code is submitted.

Conditions to keep in mind

• Vouchers can only be applied to a new booking — not an existing one. Cancel your current ride first, then apply the voucher to the new booking.
• If cancellation fees apply, the voucher will be used to cover them.
• Only one voucher can be applied per booking unless stated otherwise.
• Vouchers are valid only for eligible ride categories and locations.
• Vouchers are non-transferable and must be redeemed by the account holder.
• Vouchers are subject to terms and conditions, including expiration dates.

Whether your voucher is still usable depends on whether cancellation fees were charged.

What happens to your voucher

• Cancellation fees were charged: your voucher was applied toward those fees and is no longer available.
• No cancellation fees were charged: your voucher is still valid and you can use it on your next booking.
