How do I cancel a SIXT ride reservation?

You can change your ride details — including pickup time, locations, flight number, and passenger information — directly in the SIXT App.

How to modify your ride

1. Sign in to the SIXT App
2. Open your upcoming ride
3. Tap "Modify Ride"
4. Update any of the following:
   • Pickup time
   • Pickup location
   • Drop-off location
   • Flight number
   • Passenger details
   • Corporate information
5. Review the updated fare and confirm the change

Good to know

Any change may affect the fare. The updated price is shown for your review before you confirm. Modifications are only available in the SIXT App — not on the website.

Taxi and third-party rides

Modifications are not available for taxi services or third-party rides (for example, Cabify, Lyft, or Addison Lee).

You can cancel a SIXT ride reservation at any time — either through your account or directly from your confirmation email if you booked as a guest.

Cancel with a SIXT account

1. Sign in to your SIXT account on the website or in the SIXT App
2. Go to "Manage bookings" and select the ride you want to cancel
3. Click "Cancel" — you'll receive a confirmation email right away

Cancel a guest booking

1. Open the booking confirmation email you received after reserving
2. Click "Cancel Ride" in the email
3. A cancellation confirmation will be sent to your email address

Cancellation fees

Cancellation policies vary by country and booking class. Check our booking conditions for details on when cancellations are free of charge.
